The Regalia “Crowned King” nib. Three layers, starring two 21k gold Sailor King of Pen nibs, welded together - allowing for adjustable line size according to its wielder’s writing angle. Featuring the “Crown” - a top layer that acts as a flexible overfeed. The bottom two layers are formed through “under-stacking," allowing the nib to maintain its natural flexibility by leaving the layered tines unrestricted. My latest nib creation in solid gold, the Crowned King.
· Featuring two stacked gold nibs with Regalia’s signature halo overfeed
· F – BBB
· Individually handcrafted
· Standard international converter compatible
In this undertaking, I focused on the idea of utilizing as much of both nibs as I could. I felt it was a waste to simply harvest the tines of a beautiful KOP nib body; I wanted to highlight the imprint, the lines it follows, its original form. This flexible overfeed was my solution, pairing aesthetics with a bit of function, wasting as little gold as possible. The nib was also two-tone plated, adding more visual interest along the “Crown”.
I’ve been wanting to play around with gold nibs lately, and thought I would start with something special. It’s a bit of a misconception that I don’t work with gold, I certainly do, though I save such projects for truly unique, experimental designs. To crown this king was a pleasure, and it is my hope that it's new owner enjoys it as much as I enjoyed creating it.

Please Note
The nib comes as a unit, including the feed and housing. It is installed by screwing the unit into the pen body. It is highly recommended that you do not remove the nib from the feed. The "breather" at the end of the ebonite feed is extremely fragile and is easy to accidentally break when removing the feed from the housing. Replacement feeds cannot be provided.
Please be mindful of your writing pressure.
They are not meant to be flexed or to be used heavy-handedly, and have the potential to irreparably "spring" if pushed too far, which will destroy the nib. I cannot offer refunds, replacements or repairs in the event of user-error.
